The music world lost one of great musician again. He is an American rocker, Captain Beefheart who had skyrocketed along with the Magic Band. The singer who is also the artist at the age of 69 years.
According to spokesman Michael Werner Gallery in New York, Beefheart died on Friday (17/12) local time. While the cause of death has not yet been announced to the public.
Eccentric musician who was born with the name of Don Van Vliet is famous in the 1960's blues and rock with his own signature. Unique musical style and affects several other musicians such as Tom Waits, Nick Cave, to the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The last time working in the music world was in 1982 with the Magic Band. He then left the industry and turned to another hobby which he loves so much, the painting.
Noted, Beefheart is one of the painters reliable. His paintings sold for U.S. $ 40,000 at the Michael Werner Gallery in December.
